Cultural Exchange with Maeroa Intermediate School
Today the Hamilton East Haka Hiva and Kapa Haka groups caught the bus to Maeroa Intermediate where we were welcomed by their cultural group.
Our tutor Whaea Penny also works at Maeroa Intermediate and helped us to visit and see what neat things they do for their performances. Whaea Penny's sister works at Maeroa Intermediate too!

Learning to use the poi
We had Erina come in to Kapa Haka. Today she taught us a new song and some actions using the poi that go with the song.
When some of us had mastered the actions we taught each other.
Below is a short video of the actions.
Thank you Erina for helping us learn a new song and use the poi.
