Powhiri for Ms Suze

We welcomed Ms Suze to Hamilton East School. The Kapa Haka performed for her. Pippa said a welcoming speech and we sang. Ms Suze told us to go and say hi to her and to introduce ourselves to her when we see her on duty.

Ms Suze is the new teacher in Room 3 in the Kowhai team.

19 March Practice

Children in our Kapa Haka group.
We practice each Tuesday with Whaea Troy and Whaea Penny plays the guitar for us.

What songs are we learning at the moment in Kapa Haka?
What is your favourite Kapa Haka song to sing?

Room 4 and 5 visiting Kauri Kapa Haka

We invited Room 4 and 5 to watch Kapa Haka. We were so impressed, they sang and copied our actions to some of our songs.
We were a bit nervous to start with. Some of our siblings are in Room 4 and 5 so it was neat fun performing to them.

What songs do you like singing at Kapa Haka?
